anS is a
liquid ERC20
receipt token awarded to users when they stake S on the Angles platform. The anS balance
of such
users steadily increases due to native network staking rewards from validator delegation,
which are
automatically distributed as regular rebases.
anS is a
rebasing
token, meaning all yield is automatically compounded in your wallet. You should notice
periodic
increases in your balance based on the current APY. If you stake anS elsewhere, be aware
that
different platforms may use varying yield distribution mechanisms.
Validators
take a 15%
cut of the overall staking rewards. Angles also takes a 10% protocol fee on the rewards
after the
validator fees. The APY displayed on the UI is the actual APY users receive based on
trailing the
performance of rebases.
To stake,
users simply
need to head to the Stake page and select how much S they wish to deposit.
To wrap,
users simply
need to head to the Wrap page and select how much anS they wish to wrap.
Unstaking anS involves a 14-day unbonding period aligned with delegating directly on
Sonic.
After initiating the unstake, users will need to return to the
requests
page after 14 days to claim their S.
anS is
fully liquid,
meaning you can use anS seamlessly across DeFi and access lending markets, liquidity
pools, and more
without pausing your rewards. Sometimes the protocol utilizes wanS and you need to wrap
your anS
first.
anS is a
liquid ERC-20
receipt. Your balance of anS grows with every rebase. wanS is a wrapped version of anS.
After
wrapping, you stop receiving rebases to your balance, but the value of your wanS grows in
the exact
same way. The accrued yield gets collected when you decide to unwrap wanS back to anS.
The anS
token has a
1:1 ratio with S. This is backed by AnglesVault value and recalculated at every rebase.
Only
positive &
100% backed rebases are allowed in the protocol.
